Nero Burning ROM - Ahead Software
Nero is powerful suite of CD & DVD burning applications wrapped around the ultimate project launcher, Nero StartSmart. Nero 6 is your all-in-one solution. With the powerful applications included in this new version, you can manage all your CD and DVD burning tasks with flying colours.
glyFX has been creating graphics for the Nero project from 2002, and includes hundreds of icons, toolbar images, backgrounds, animations & miscellaneous graphics. Every image for the project was custom designed, according to client specifications and our own suggestions. Final icons include 16, 24, 32 & 48 pixel sizes, in various states and include all supported colour depths; 16 colours, 256 colours & XP high colour.
The launch application, Nero StartSmart has a completely skinned interface, and an attractive and easy to use set of icons. The main skin can change colours based on the users settings. All other applications within the suite feature colourful toolbars and application icons. The Nero Vision Express editor has a powerful set of tools for video editing; a very large number of icons and animations were developed to make this task easy and intuitive for the end-user.
Due to the geographical challenges (Ahead & glyFX are based in Germany and Australia, respectively) it was important to maintain a constant level of contact with each other to ensure that the project was kept in line with the original vision for Nero. The relationship between Nero and glyFX continues to this day, and we are proud to have been involved with the graphic look in Nero 7, and we continue to work closely together.
