Borland® Delphi™ 8 Exclusive

glyFX is pleased to announce that a special version of our toolbar image library is shipping with every copy of the newly released Borland® Delphi™ 8 for the Microsoft® .NET Framework! We are proud to be part of this very special release of Delphi.

The Borland team has selected over 90 images from our sets, that will be installed with all editions of Delphi™ 8 for the Microsoft® .NET Framework. Each image is supplied in 2 sizes, and the edition comes with a handy reference document, so that you can easily locate any image you need.

Additionally, all registered users of Delphi™ 8 for the Microsoft® .NET Framework are eligible for very special pricing on the purchase of the full glyFX 8 Pack image library. New Interface Design Newsletter

In the new year, we're planning to launch a new Interface Design newsletter. glyFX's resident interface guru Dave will be writing about interface issues for programmers, and give out some tips, tricks and ideas on how you can make your application's interface clearer and more intutive for your end users. Previously we mentioned that the templates would be available in 2 versions (standard and advanced), however the majority of our enquiries have been for the advanced templates only, so for the time being we are not offering the standard version. Fresh after the release of the Network II Set, we are happy to announce that work has begun on Database II Set. The exact number of glyphs has not been determined, but more details will be posted soon.

We will also release a free update of the Database I Set next week to registered users! It was the very first glyFX product, and the style is a little different to the current sets. As we always strive to deliver the highest quality and value to our customers, each image in the set has been extensively reworked. The update will be sent to registered users via email.

We are very proud to announce that for the past 8 months we have been working with Ahead Software, completing the graphic elements on the latest version of Nero Burning ROM! The software has now been released and we invite everyone to try it.

From toolbar images, application icons, animations and other graphic items, it was a massive and exciting project and we are very happy to have been a part of it. More details will be posted soon.

The latest glyFX creation is now available for purchase! The Network II Set adds 50 new glyphs (plus alternate styles) to the collection, taking the total of the 8 pack to 398 glyphs (and over 50 alternate styles & colours!). Check out the products page for full details.

Our latest product is now available for purchase! Check our animations section for the glyFX animated images, which can help add a great touch to your progress dialogs. There is a free animation you can download, to try it out.

The Network II Set is almost complete, with a handful of images left to finish. More details will be posted shortly.

Along side the web site templates (which are going to be available very soon!), we would like to announce 2 new products to the expanding glyFX line;

Animations - small animated clips suitable for most applications, showing processes such as uploads, downloads, file printing, converting etc. These can be used anywhere a user needs to wait for something to finish processing (for example, the copy files dialog in Windows).

Large format images - all your favourite glyFX images will be available in large formats (32x32, 48x48 and 64x64 pixels). These will still include the normal, hot & disabled states, as well as (for the first time) PNG versions, featuring transparency.

We have also updated our gallery with some of the latest screenshots submitted to us, as well as recently completed work. If you would like any more information on the above, please don't hesitate to contact Dave.

We have almost finalised all the details for the web site templates. While pricing is still under discussion, the base base price for the designs will be around $49US. There will be a number of options available for each design;

• Basic pack - HTML files, CSS and JPEG image files
• Intermediate pack - HTML files, CSS and JPEG and PSD source (Photoshop) image files
• Advanced pack - HTML files, CSS, JPEG & PSD files and Dreamweaver templates

That should give you plenty of choices as to how much creative control you want to have available to you. As soon as everything is finished, we will post the availability here, as well as on the mailing list.

As mentioned in the previous glyFX newsletter, one of our new products are 'ready to use' web site templates. Each template will be supplied with all relevant HTML and graphics, ready for your content to be added.
